As we head into September we will be soon putting away our summer clothing and gathering up our warmer attire. Unless you live in the heat all the time then I guess there isn’t much a difference for you.

Being in Canada I love the colder weather. The heat this summer has been awful with the humidity. Since my city is on the edge of a great lake we get it bad.

Have you ever had a day where you just want to let the rage out burning inside you? I am doing a blogger search for one of the stores I manage and obviously we cannot take everyone. I send a “We are sorry..” note to them with a few reasons as to why they may not be suitable for the store. One was not happy with this and took to my flickr and facebook. I was surfing Facebook last week and I saw Poema has a new aged skin out. I think it is beautiful, but was shocked to see all the negativity over this. Seriously I am thoroughly disgusted on how people treat others.. especially women.. I am going to say this and probably get backlash but I do not care.

To the women all over the world that this may pertain too.. if you feel guilty then you must be one of them.. I was brought up in GenX where we were taught to be polite, keep our opinions to ourselves unless asked by be graceful about our answer. My mother taught me it is never ok to humiliate, belittle, or treat people like they owe you something. This is what women should be doing still. My children have been taught this. The women that comments on Poema’s skin are from my generation. Seriously, what right do you have to bring down anyone? Especially someone you do not even know?? Respect goes a long way whether it be a friend, family member or stranger. This world is bad enough with this new generation of ME and not give a crap about anyone else.

I am far from perfect believe me, I can be an asshole just ask my friends. I have no filter, I say what I think when it is appropriate or asked. But I am honest. Honestly between designer bashing and this Flickr craziness over not getting your photos in groups it literally it just infuriates me.. like seriously WTH is the big deal? Please do give me your thoughts, and believe me i have a lot to reply and you may not like it. lol

My Ocean.

Oh how nice it would be to wake up to the sound of the ocean. I would love to have that one day. Growing up I was often spending summers at my grandparents cottage on Lake Erie. Early morning fishing and just the silence of the water was so soothing. But the best part as I grew older was hearing the waves roll onto the beach while I was relaxing. We no longer have the cottage in our family, but the memories are still as vivid as yesterday. These are the moment you keep and treasure.
